You may recall a fw weeks ago I notified you that my mate here, Bruce Brimley, was not well having undergone major surgery. This morning I recieved a call from his daughter to inform me Bruce crossed the bar Saturday afternoon after falling into a coma. Up to then he had not been too bad and my last conversation with him, August 1st, two days before our cruise, he was in good spirits and a very positive state of mind. He had only been at sea for about four years with U.C.L. and P&O but loved to talk of those days. Mad fan of Benny Hill and loved a good laugh. We worked together as volunteers for the last four years in the local Community Health Centre. There are many who will miss his company and sence of humor, mad as it was.
May calm waters for ever guide you my friend until we meet again in Fiddlers Green.

So sorry to hear of Bruce passing on mate,its a hard thing to loose a good Friend!
It must have been quite a shock ,as you said he was not too bad before your Cruise!
These things seem to creep up so suddenly!
My Sincere Condolences to you and of Course his entire Family,i know that thay will all rally together at a time like this!
Take Heart John,at least he knew that you were a good mate!
May he have safe passage to wherever it may take him!
