Deceased
From the Pulse (sent to me by M Williams) with thanks
Crossed the Bar
The late Alan Phipps
It is with deep regret that we have learnt of the death of Alan Phipps (Midlands Branch).
Alan was very knowledgeable about World War II shipping and was a recognised expert on this subject by the World Shipping Society. He had written a number of articles for “Full Ahead”.
Alan will be sadly missed and we offer his wife, family and friends our deepest sympathy.
MNA Circular "The Pulse" 2016 #14 - Dated 21st June 2016
Many thanks to Tim Brant, Pete Sinke’s daily publication “Maasmond Maritime - Shipping News Clippings”, Lloyds List, Captain, Maritime London and many others, not forgetting the items sent in by Readers.
