Many thanks Doc. My dad was born on June 10th 1939 in Glasgow, Scotland. I don't really have much more info on his time in the Merchant Navy. Any information you can find would be gratefully received. Thanks so much for your help.
    Ruth

Well we can make a start now and here is his Seamans Pouch to start with,it will hold basic info and possibly I Pic ,but we need his CRS10 for full Service Record which I will look for a bit later!
From there once you obtain that CRS10 we can then loo at the Ships and see what Crew Records are also available! This Poucj is Downloadable from the NA at a cost ?? You will just have to follow the Link etc.

His CRS10 should be found in the following Series but must be looked at in Person at the NA Kew UK.
If you manage to get to Kew make sure to take all Reference Numbers of Seamans Pouch as well as CRS10 The Staff at Kew will assist you,
Cheers PS You can try to order on line but I have found it to be very difficult in the past, possibly a change has been made though??? Let me know how you go
