A very warm Welcome to this great site and I hope in time we will be hearing a lot more of your Tales at Sea!

I too was on the old Dunnottar Castle but in 1958 doing the last trip on her before she was sold! Nice old Gal!

Hi Ken
I was on the Good Hope Castle in 1959, three trips Ending in Hong Kong June 59 at the breakers.
and TECTUS in May to August in 1954.
Both were good trips on deck.
and with a Steam Queen off the Dunnottar Castle in Cape Town in 1956. all three good jobs.

Thank you Brian. My sojourn on the Good Hope was only 23 days - as per discharge Book - as Home Trade from London to Belfast - slowly. She had serious engine problems for repair.

Single voyage on Tectus sailed 17/12/52 from Birkenhead to Swansea via Abadan or Kuwait - can't remember which.

The Italians are still looking for Genoa, best be careful Ken as you may be getting a knock on the door anytime now, wanting to know why you moved it
