    HERE IS SOME ABOUT "TANA"

    1921 Built as TANA (1) by Palmers' Shipbuilding & Iron Co. Ltd., Jarrow, yard no. 917, for Wilh. Wilhelmsen, Tønsberg, Norway. Launched 24/03, completed 10/10. Price paid 5.810.866,75 NOK. Wilhelmsen's first steam turbine ship.
    1928 The turbines replaced by two new steam turbines of 2.500 SHP in September, built by Parsons Marine Steam Turbine Co. Ltd., Newcastle. Both turbines had double reduction to common propeller shaft.
    1941 Taken over at Safi 04/07 by the Vichy French whilst on passage from Liverpool to Panama and renamed STE. SIMONE. 1942 Taken over by the Germans in November and renamed TANA.
    1943 Sunk 24/05 by Allied air attack off Olbia, Sardinia.
    1946 Raised but foundered 10/12 in a position 41.20 N, 10.57 E while bound in tow for Genoa.

    I dont know if you had any luck in your search for
    information on you Fathers ships.If this will be of
    use to you you,you can click onto SS STEAMSHIPS
    on google,there you will find photo's of the Tana.
    Southern Harvester,Benvenue,Wave Ruler,but
    nothing on Southern Satelite or Royal Auxilary.
