I can still recall the indegestion from those bloody things. Why they were triangular in shape I will never know, something about fitting them all in the tin????? Dont think I have ever eaten steamed food since then. May have been better if we had a decent cook on that one. But I do like Toblerone.

The only reason they are white is 'Frost Bite' Thats why they only appear at this time of year. Did you know White chocolate was invented so that the W.I.lads knew when they had come to the end of the chocolate bar.

HEY JOHN. They were triangular to stop them rolling around the deck when the cookoo dropped them.Plus they would be easier to chase around the pan, when your pie-eyed. best wishes geoff
KISS.keep it simple stupid
Hi Scully. I cant remember if Ive already written to you about the British Pioneer,if I have please forgive me. I was on the British Pioneer in 1952 from the 8/12/52 until 8/4/53,she later became the Clyde Pioneer, then reverted back to British until she was scrapped. After the Vindi, she was my first ship, and we left Swansea on about the 20th.Dec,just before Xmas, broke my bloody heart, but soon got over it.I was wondering if this was the same "Pioneer"as you mentioned?
