#161 Was backtracking through this post and just saw a mention of Jim Egan in one of the posts. Am more or less sure is the same one I knew and was mate with me on one of the Seaboard ships in the late 1980s . Saw him a couple of times when back in the UK after 1991 and forget what year but he had been babysitting 3 or 4 laid up supply vessels in Leith I believe. By any chance did he meet up with your father then. Does anyone else know out of same company if he is still alive.? Jim was a member of this site years ago and then seemed to drop off the Radar Screen. Cheers. JS

Hi Derek I was on the Benstac that trip, I am not sure if it was the trip I found the bosun dead. Horrible situation for everyone I was at the burial and helped with the sowing of his wrapped body.. Rob
