hello,

i was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me if there was anyway to track down what ships my grandfather was on.

he died a few years ago and never kept his book up to date and my father has a terrible memory and can't remember what they were.

All i know is he was involved in the voyages to Malta during WW2 and he was stoker.

his name is leslie albert thomas coker.

any help you can give would be greatly appreciated

Just a little to get you started IF this is the right person as you gave no DoB
There was a Leslie A T Coker aged 18 signed on the “Empire Archer” as a Fireman/ Trimmer in West Hartlepool, On the 19th March 1945 this was his first voyage he was 5’ – 7” in height weight was 164 lbs with a Tattoo on the Right Arm

The ship arrived in New York on the 14th April 1945 having sailed from Newcastle upon Tyne on the 23rd March 1945

his seaman’s pouch should be in the TNA Kew

His CRS10 should be in BT 382/2215 in the TNA Kew surnames Cohn to Convery
