Where would my friend send interesting old seamans documents
Hello,
A friend of mine has several documents belonging to her Grandfather or Great Grandfather who was a Merchant Seaman, which document the ships he served on etc during his life in the Merchant Navy. She wants to pass them on to someone who would appreciate them or an association who would treasure and perhaps display them once she has gone for his legacy to continue as her children do not want them.
Does anyone have any contact details for such?
Many thanks

See you are from Liverpool, perhaps the maritime museum there would take them, especially if they covered the two world wars period another possibility would be the nautical school at John Moore's university.
