The following Link is of interest as well, looks like they have lots of such Lists of the P&O Company on loan.
However by looking at this seems that one has to go there and become a Member ? I am a wee bit confused as to how to access any records shown.

If you hit the Search on the page and Type in Ships' Movements - Movement Books, Lists
It will bring up many records , but as said from there how to actually se them ??

Re: P&O services to Hong Kong 1930s
Thank you for the reply. I am researching a Royal Navy officer who served in Hong Kong twice in the 1930s . He was accompanied by his wife on the first appointment and i am trying to trace whether she went on the second in 1938. I have read of one officer who returned overland by train.

Re: P&O services to Hong Kong 1930s
On the officers first appointment he was a Lieutenant in August 1931. On his next appointment to the Flotilla in April 1938 he was a Lt Cdr. His name was John Wallace Linton, 15th October 1905, Malpas, Monmouthshire .
I have a photo copy of his service record but somebody has stuck a bar code over part of the later entries.

Re: P&O services to Hong Kong 1930s
The service record came from the Royal Navy and the storage of these records is managed by TNT . The label has a TNT logo on it along with the bar code. I cannot find a service number on it
