How crazy is this ?
Last May 26th ( 2020 ), I submitted an inquiry to the Ministry of Defence at Whitehall seeking direction on bills of lading / cargo manifests for H.M.S. Patroller, who, arrived in Glasgow on December 14, 1944 after ferrying aircraft from Norfolk, VA., U.S.A. in convoy CU-49. Apparently, after at least three re-routings, my request is considered " personal information " and falls under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 ! They now require 30 pound monies and a three page form to be completed. I understand government RED tape, however... Is this normal ? I guess I should be happy that I got a reply. Any thoughts are appreciated, THANK-YOU !

Re: How crazy is this ?
As the author of the website Mercantile Convoy CU 49 of 1944 by Mark C. Keever, I've been leaving no stone unturned since July of 2012. Yes, FOLD3 is an excellent resource ( $ 7.95 U.S.D. a month ) for a LOT of information on many subjects... Adventures with the U.K. & U.S. National Archives have proved fruitful too. This particular request proves elusive. Money talks, so, I'll keep " investing " with the hope of production from the " Disclosure Cell " - Navy Command - Portsmouth...
