Was going to say great whites Cappy but thought the PC brigade would have thought it offensive and colour prejudiced, so thought the grey nurses more appropriate as they might also think they were part of the free national health service and put themselves in their capable jaws. Cheers jws

###reminds me of being in the allurity one of everards ......800 ton iether a cork or a submarine in the north sea..... looking over the wall and seeing this bloody great thing swimming alongside ....i think a whale of some sort ......but happy i wasnt in there ..very careful sculling for a while...cappy

Used to lie at anchor in the Moray Firth sometimes and every morning about 0800 this big whale used to come alongside and rub himself alongside the ship and rub himself up and down the side of the ship. Could smell him a long time before saw him he stank. I assumed he was trying to rub the barnacles off himself and not trying any sexual acts with the ship, like trying to get at the engine room discharge. Cheers JWS

You can say what you like about whites in the UK today John, it's all of the other colours you have to dance around.

One thing for sure John you can't mix them in the washing machine as a the colours will run and your whites are no longer white. There must be a moral there somewhere. JWR

Yep there should be a lot more care taken when mixing colours, sadly some laundresses are not too bothered about the
results of their mixing with other colours as the benefits office rewards them handsomely. cheers JFC
