#11... Sounds like a fishing vessel Ivan, been on similar doing a different job. Without the auto had to do all yourself, with the auto living in luxury. JS

###as the wind increased with the warming of the morning air of the coast of spain .....we would sail like banshees down the coast .....we would stop later in some fishing village and eat fish and drink vino .......come the calm of evening we would pull well of the coast ...switch on the engine lash the wheel and just sit back nackered .....while she puttered back to altea.....supping a good bottle or two of vino on the way .......happy days .....regards cappy

Have also found the crew list of when I was there. Which was master and 2 mates. 3 IRs. 1 PIR'. 3 engineers.Ch. Stwd. Ch. cook. 2nd.Cook. CA. 14 Maritime crew.
Shore crew... 2 Reps. 5 Observers. 2x Party Chiefs. 4 Navigators. 6 Mechanics. 6 x Data processing geo. 4 x Client reps. Nationalitys as well as Australian included British, Norwegian, Dutch, and USA. Total shore mob 29. Total on board 43. This was not a very large vessel , some of the super duper ones of today may carry many more. Anyhow the Robtrack system of steering was well in advance of any automatic helmsman I ever saw on British vessels. Anyone wanting names of people on board when I was there have them also. Amazing what turns up when rummaging around. Cheers JS

Was on an old Swedish vessel 'Virginia' later became 'Global Prince'
