John, All the best with it mate, I had the same thing a few months ago, Look on the Brightside when you get the results from the consultant, Its amazing what an M.R.I. can show and he will take you on a journey from head to toe, I am sure it will reassure you when you see the results it can be like getting a clean bill of health. The only drawback is you never get a gown that fits when you get into your birthday suite, So no arsing about Good luck buddy Terry.
All the best John, hope it all goes well.

Ask the Consultant if you can have a copy DVD of your scan, you can put it on your computer and do a tour of all your inards.
I have two DVDs now and can look at my Pancreas, Liver, bowells and Kydneys. very interesting.

having suffered for years with arthritis, finally had both hips replaced back in 2007-08. then started to have trouble with walking any distance, terrific build up of pain in the bum cheeks. had a mri in 2013 and they found I had stenosis of the spine.
over time the pain in the back and legs has got worse. so the doc sent me for another mri at a sister hospital to the previous one. to get in as quick as possible, without a long, long wait I opted to go any time, day or night. sure as hell, I got a slot at 3.30 am, on one of the coldest nights in December last, around 28 c below. at least there wasn't much traffic on the road. anyway got checked in, undressed and into to the machine room and onto the table. the technician tried three times to thread me into the tube, got jammed at the shoulders each time. had no trouble at the other hospital last time, so the machines must differ in their tube size. so now the doc is sending me to a small town in the other direction for a cat scan, not as good, but will give them an idea if things have changed at all. all in all, i'm satisfied with my level of service with our health service, have never been turned down on requesting specialized service.
regards, stan carter
I've got an appointment on Thursday on the notes it says I will have to carry a letter with me going on holiday as I will be radio-active and set the machine off at the airport, that should be fun.
Regards.
