Re: Royal navy records
I read very few newspapers , I will get a Daily Telegraph , free when I spend £5 in Waitrose , as a " My Waitrose " customer , the rest are too politically biased , Murdoch wants to rule the World , and the others are blatantly left or right wing . The parties are all run and managed by public school boys
Nigel Farage - Stockbrokers son educated Dulwich College
Ed Miliband University Professors son educated Corpus Christi Oxford and LSE , but was at a Comprehensive during his school years
David Cameron Stockbrokers son educated Eton Brasenose Oxford
Nick Clegg Banker's son , educated westminster school , Robinson college Cambridge
They are all the same , the elite leading the proletariat , Even my shining example of the old lefties like Dennis Skinner ,Father a Miner ., tupton hall grammar school , and Ruskin college or John Prescott , son of a Railwayman , failed the 11 Plus , but again a Ruskin College graduate ,
Forget the colour of their Rosette whether Purple , blue , red or yellow , these are in parliament because that is the job they wanted to do , the old thought that they were there to represent the voter is a pure myth . They are there because they believe they know what is best for us . So can anyone tell me how to tell the leaders of the parties apart , because I cannot see it

The reason the Daily Mail,The Sun, The Mirror, and the likes of them are made that size, is they fit perfectly in the bottom of a parrots cage KT

The Kennedys were also accused by certain tabloids over the years as being anti British. Purely on account of him reporting back to his President (Truman or whoever it was ) that Britain would not be able to contain the onslaught. I would have thought most outsiders would have thought the same at the time. The Elder Kennedy was American Ambassador to Britain in the early part of the war. John Sabourn

Re: Royal navy records
Brian if you have been following the political scene in Oz, you will find it absorbing. The Greens have lost most of their power in the Senate and Clive Palmer has now entered the arena. Most people think of him as an extrovert with bumbling ways. Appearances can sometimes be deceiving, any person able to amass the wealth he has is no simpleton , and apart from that he has every right to put himself forward. Maybe after he has built his Titanic he may give it to the Australian people as a means of housing the Illegal immigrants and keep them in the manner they expect to be treated by our last government. Somehow I don't think so, but probably he will come up with some answers to the problem that are no worse than others before him, and probably better. As regards the last shower they have already started with their rhetoric, they must have a very low opinion of our intelligence. Cheers John Sabourn

Re: Royal navy records
John S you are so right. I was rreading a bit yesterday about the monies etc paid to past Prime Ministers. Gillard the goose gets $500,000 per year pension, a chaufer driven car for life, an office with secretary, has been made an honary proffesor at Adelaide uni and now hasa job with UN in some females official role. We currently have 7 ex PM all living off the state.
Like Brian I do not bother with newspapers, get all my news from the net. But they are very useful in the compost heap as most are full of s**t.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.
