And they had world opinion against them and completely ignored. Whose to say the current expected Tsunamis are not the result of this. Everyone points the finger at others so called responsibility as to Climate Change, why does pointing the finger cease when certain countries are involved. Everyone shouts about others further advancing in nuclear energy or so be it. Countries should practice what they preach and this includes the so called leaders of the World democracies. There are some members who like cruises, Captian Kong, myself and a few others. Then there are those who do not, each to his own. But as Brian will tell you it is up to you how you enjoy the cruise. I ask for a table for two and then if we meet people we like we may join them for dinner. Never get involved with the on board stuff, find a quiet corner with a book, then on shore do our own thing. Have done afew organised tours but most are a rip off you can do better on your own. But being out on the ocean watching the waves, dolfins and the occasional bird or ship in the distance is great along with the night sky.
hi ivan. methinks you are refering to the prewar nile cruises.
Not everyone can afford Pacfic Cruises.Especially those with young Families. I don't care for Europe myself Full of our enemies. I'd rather go to the Isle of Wight. That reminds me,we still haven't met up for that beer or two have we Keith?
As soon as i can get a sail with a friend of mine where we spend the night in the marina on town quay, i will give a ring Colin, KT
I think my post was taken by a different meaning
No it wasn't Lou, some of us knew you were referring to your time as a guest of the German navy and Japanese Emperor in those dark days of WWII, and very dark for you personally, but as usual we have gone off course, but believe me your trials and tribulations have not been forgotten and for which you have our admiration
Lou The wife and self thinking of doing a bus trip round NZ this next year as don't want the hazzle of driving and the UK is such a long drag. Looking up one of the Itinerarys it says one has a free afternoon in Dunedin, if you let us know what pub you get in, maybe able to buy you a pint. Also have a couple of free days in the Bay of Islands (Auckland) and have friends there. Is only in the suggested places to go at moment. Bluff is not too far from Dunedin isn't it ?
