Remember Corncrake but didnt sail on her, but did the Tonnay Charente brandy run on the Drake. I thought all the brandy & wine cargoes went into the London Docks just off & behind the Irongate Wharf river berth.
Corncrake was a bird name as were all GSNC ships apart from the day trip London tp Margate ships and their troopship Empire Parkeston which I also diud a stint on from Harwich.
