Did you know him
Capt kong I was reading the death notices in this morning newspaper (always do to see if my name comes up )and the following notice John Hobson late of Bolton UK ex British Merchant Navy discharge book number 261489 1941-1946 ex NZ army passed away 8th july .Thought you might know of him .regards Lou

No sorry I didnt know of him, it is a bit of a long time ago from when he left Bolton so I guess there will be no relatives left.
I will look in the Obituaries in the Bolton paper to see if it is in there.

I have been through all the Obituaries in the Bolton News records and there is no mention of him, so it looks as tho` there is no one left here.

This reminds me of a friend who was estranged from his father, an eminent surgeon. Every year he would go to the library and check in 'Who's Who', to see what his dad was up to, one year there was no mention, so he checked in 'Who Was Who' - that's when he found his dad had passsed away - sad!
