Picture postcard (Austrian Lloyd, before 1914, unknown painter), Lloyd Arsenal with a shipyard crane.

The first fully constructed and completed ship in the Lloyd Arsenal, SS Austria (II), was launched on March 11, 1865. It was the first ship built entirely of iron and domestic materials and with 1700 tons the largest ship of the shipping company. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Steamship Company, the launching of the three-masted steamboat Imperator on September 27, 1886, was celebrated as part of a folk festival. Also for the next and last anniversary of the oil, 1911, was completed at the shipyard with the delivery of Vienna (III), a significant new ship. With 7,357 GRT and an output of 10,000 hp (7,355 kW), it was the largest and most powerful ship in Austria at that time.
