Looking for information
My father’s ship Hampton lodge was bombed and sunk Jan 1943. He was taken to Gibraltar.
While he was there, Joined security defence for anti sabotage duties 3948/43 Gibraltar. Trained under Lionel buster Crabbe. I cannot find any records in national archives. All of this information is listed in his service book.

Re: Looking for information
#1 Well Buster Crabbe wouldn’t be any use to you, as his headless body was found in the area of Portsmouth harbour. He was not a serving officer at the time but would have been on the Reserve list . Was suspected he had been doing a recce. on the hull of a Russian Warship which brought the Soviet leader to the UK for a high diplomatic meeting. Unfortuanetley the Russian vessel also had divers down at the same time. All circumstantial but very suspicious at the time. And still is to this day. Another one for your eyes only ? Cheers JS
