Hello form a newcomer
Hello all, just joined the site as I want to find out more details of my late father John's service in the Merchant Navy during the war. Luckily I have his service record so so I hope I can find out where he went, as probably, like most men of his era who served in the war didn't talk very much at all about it.

Hello Alister
Welcome and thanks for asking the question!
If you have your Fathers record, as you say with the list of Ships that are recorded on his Documents you can search each Ship through the Archives for the Ship movements, that will then give you a very good idea of the Ports etc he went to.
Cheers

Hi Alister.
If you have th ships names that your father sailed on, list them on the site, you never know who is still around who may have sailed with him.
