If you think about it, what better company to do a trans job on a ship than UCL.

#24 Hi Bob sounds like a ship I sailed on (SS Sapho 1) I joined her in Piraus, crew consisted of Colobians and Mexicans, Sudanese, Egyptians, Spanish and Greeks and myself English. I forgot and one West Indian. Some of the dregs of the worlds seaports. I wrote a novel 'Diomed's Ghosts' based on this ship alone. I was lucky to get off the ship alive. A fire at sea, a drunken Colombian going berserk with a revolver and so on. Some of my Articles written on this media refers to the Sapho. Happy days PC

'The Navigators Den', who if they ever sailed with UCL could forget it.
Lost track of the number of times we were in there and getting back on board just before turn to.
A first class bar man by the name of Tom Tarrent set up the music system there in about 1961, the previous one was stuffed.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
