Good afternoon
Looking at the posts I don’t see any Coasting men among you.Are there any.
I served with Crescent Shipping from school until 1980 Thames bargeman coasting D/H Mate and Master
They sent me to King Teds Commercial road for my tickets. They treated me and my family Grandfather Father and several uncles very well and paid us well.
Sadly none of these company’s exist anymore.
From 1982 I owned and was Captain of The Brendonian built Goole shipyard 1964.
She served me or the other way round well until I sold her in 2000.
I then went into Pilotage on the Humber Ouse for 12 years.I am retired in Lincolnshire.
