Hi
Thank you for letting me join your site.
I am an author and have written about two vessels and I am just finishing a third book on 6 ships that carried the name "Eastbourne"
My first book on ships was the "Sitakund" an oil tanker that exploded in the English Channel in 1968. One British seaman was killed. The second was about the mysterious loss of the Prince Line ship, "Asiatic Prince" in 1928. All crew lost and rumours of mutiny, pirates, and missing bullion. I am interested in hearing from anyone who sailed on either of the "City of Eastbourne" ships as personal tales are always better than just newspaper reports.
