Default Where are all the luxury ‘Cruise Ships, with British crew.

I have been away from the great ships since 1979, when I got married into a affluent family. Of course we are divorced thanks to the older daughter. So anyway after my many adventures in the USA. I thought I would try for my last stint on any British passenger liner, just for a little fun. I am 78 years old, but though the use of ‘Holistic Medicine, since when I got my first job with P&so I have carried my exercise regimen and only been in hospital in Tarzana, Los Angeles once, to remove my Gall Bladder eight years ago. So I began my search for a ship.

To my dismay ships seem to only hire Philippine workers, or from other foreign countries. I have nothing bad to say about people from the Philippines, as I have been there many times. But what happened on Prestige vessels like the QE2? Once upon a time it was Italians in the Catering Department, British in Housekeeping, the Mexica boys in the Utility and Chinese in the Laundry.

I guess the giant ships, like “The Love Boat” TV series MS: Island Princess, has gone to breakers yard? A miserable ending. I was a First Class Steward in those far off days?

Merry Christmas everybody and I hop for all, an lucrative New Year. Dave.

Yes mate, very few English speaking crew on cruise ships now.
Philipino's, Croation's, Greek, Mexican, Indonesians, and few others.

When it comes to photography and back stage entertainment set up there are a few Brits,
Mat the occasional UK officer but not many, lot of Italians though.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.
