Re: lost information on my late father
Tammy just want to wish you well and if anyone can find the info. you want you are hopefully in the right place. Sorry for your fathers early loss and hope it was a natural death , as was a very early age to die. There are many on this site much older, the first thing I noticed was I was 30 years of age when he was born, and it brings to our observation how fortuanate we all were to survive for such a longer time in a very at times dangeruous occupation. So hope you gain everything you seek. Regards JS.
PS The RFA vessel stands for Royal Fleet Auxilary and was a vessel attached to the RN. Have just seen Vernons post another avenue for you may be to contact the MOD as they keep records , as know this as had mine from 1978 to 1982 unbeknown to me until about 3 years ago. JS
Further again... if you have his Dis. Book number he may be entitled to a Ministry of Defence Merchant Seafarers Veteran Badge in recognition of serving with the RFA, with that you may gain further info.
The Address is ...... Ministry of Defence, Whitehall, London SW 1A 2HB

Re: lost information on my late father
Tammy thank you but by that DOB i fear that there will be no Records on him, as said they stopped in 1972 and looks like he was still well in Service then.
Sorry
Cheers
Having said all this Tammy i would try one of the following to see if they can assist, Email each Section with the same Question.
Cheers Hope you get Lucky

Anthony Burzacki
As i am new to this i would like some guidance on how i can possible find out information about my late father Anthony Burzacki.
i know he had previously worked on the RFA Engadine, Norisia and the Northia as a chef, i am unsure of the year he started working
but i am thinking roughly around 1975 when he would have been 18 years old, my father passed in 2010 and as a remembrance of
my dad I am looking to find out his seamens number if that is what it was called.
I know before his passing he did have a seamans passport but i have no memory as to where this went went dads stuff was cleared.
if anyone could help me find information on know of any photos or posts where dad could have been mentioned I would greatly
appreciate the information and help.
Thank you in advance and i look forward to hopefully hearing some positive news

Re: lost information on my late father
Tammy B. You might like to look in the HELDERLINE site for Shell Tankers for possible info about your late Dad's ships. Most of the Shell tankers,in alphabetical order have photos and a history, and also crew who sailed in her at various times.
Good Luck
Graham
