Re: New Book
Joe before coming on this site a number of years ago I have memories of hearing your name elsewhere , were you associated with any of the nautical establishments around the Tyne area ? Although have seen your name affixed to various poems and recollections of past years on here put up on various occassions by other members they always seem to hit the spot. Hope the person looking for the bucket of steam wasn’t seeking a long stand as well as they were hard to come by , as one never got the privilege of staying too long in one spot. All the best with your book and am sure it will receive a good reception .Cheers JS.

Re: New Book
Joe
I am using some lines from your poems for the revised copy of my book "They Shall Grow Not Old...." as I did in the original version.
"Across the seas where the great waves grow, there are no fields for the poppies to grow, but its a place where Seamen sleep, died for their country, for you and for peace" (Billy McGee 2011)

Re: New Book
#2.. going back in memory’s of nearly 70 years ago, think there was a Capt. Earl one of the lecturers at South Shields Marine and Technical College who was an associate of Capt. Bill Moore who was head of that particular department , both would be dead by now so obviously are not you. I dont have a particular good memory for names , but do for those who made a difference to my life. Your writings would have been appreciated if either was still around. Cheers JS
