Tommy Quine from Liverpool
Hi
I am looking for anyone who sailed with my father Tommy Quine who was from Liverpool. He sailed from 1953 to 1991 and worked for blue funnel, ocean fleets and P&O to name a few. My dad recently passed away and I was looking to hear from anyone who knew him as I would love to hear stories involving him. I do have his discharge books with all the ships he sailed on.
Thanks
Danny

Sorry for your loss Tommy Condolences!
Hope that someone may recall your Dad and post here.
Never know with all these Lads around, and quite a few from the Mersey!

Re: Tommy Quine from Liverpool
Hi Tommy.
Sorry for your loss, my sincere condolences to you and your family. If as you say you have his discharge book put his ships on the site, it may be an easier way to find any who sailed with him, there are many on the site who sailed in those same days.

Re: Tommy Quine from Liverpool
Tommy lf you put down some of his ships outside of Blue funnel may be useful.i sailed with at least one ex blue flu bosun , but wouldn’t remember his name. A ships name just might be of assistance to others as well. JS
PS I sailed with one seaman with a similar name much later but his name was Quinn. JSi

#6 If it is the same one I’m thinking it could have been Brian, this was in the 60s and on an ore carrier. Where he was definitely the odd man out. He was a liner man and let everyone know it .He was only there for the one trip and think that was enough for him as was up to Murmansk in the winter. Whether he was doing penance or looking for extra cash on his leave don’t know, and is probably not even the same bloke. Cheers JS

#8 Tommy I was on I think 83 ships and roughly 5/6 offshore installations so a lot of us are used to numbers .JS
