I'm thinking there was no marriage, since nothing can be found. Also the death details for Joseph Knight going by your date are scarce to say the least. Have printed the only one I have found, no mention of Annie though! Only Margaret!
Needless to say, I’m stumped! I wondered if maybe May was an illegitimate child and they didn’t want it shown on the birth certificate. But then as I said before, Joseph died when May was about 12/13. I assumed he lived at home with them but this is only speculation.

Any questions on the info below just ask.

Thanks Marian. Quick question, what does FMP mean?

Re: Joseph Knight - Liverpool - Dock Board Labourer
One area that I want to explore is the electoral registers for 48 Warren Street, Liverpool between 1926-1939. I assume these are available yearly but cannot find. And I know that Warren Street was bombed in 1941. My hope being that we’ll see Joseph and Annie living at this address and should determine when they moved on from that house and possibly might see some initials or other people who live at the same address that I can track.

Re: Joseph Knight - Liverpool - Dock Board Labourer
Interesting, other names and initials could help.
Was May an only child ?
