Thanks for having me. Name is Andrew McLarty. I started as an Engineer cadet with British and Commonwealth in 1968 and made Junior Second before leaving them in 1977. Time spent mainly on Clan Line general cargo ships and bulk carriers or Union Castle cargo. Followed that with just shy of 3 years as Second Engineer with Dubai Maritime before their two ships were sold. A great 11 years all told just before containers really took over. Definitely the best job I ever had although that's not to say I didn't enjoy my subsequent times with Rolls-Royce and looking after nuclear submarines. Anyway, great to be able to keep in touch with the sea so glad I found you and thanks again for letting me in. Andrew
