My Dad
Hello
I recently came across my late father's discharge book. Reading through the pages has given me a glimpse of a part of his life that I know relatively little about although he often recounted tales of his time spent at sea. My Dad (Alan Davies) served aboard the Calumet (initially as Junior Engineer) 1954-55; Calgary (4th Engineer) 1955; Prah 1955; Brodie 1956; Cameron 1956; Stewart 1956; Urquhart (3rd Engineer) 1956-1958; Shaw 1958; Brodie 1958; Urquhart 1959-1960. I've found many photos of the ships on this site and I only wish my Dad was still here to see them - no doubt they would have stirred many memories for him and I would so love to listen to him recounting them all again.

Re: My Dad
Hello Janet
Thanks for the info, and yes its sad that you never knew too much of his time at Sea, as said i am sure there would have been many good Yarns of old.
As you have his Discharge Book that is good and a wonderful keepsake.
Now if you wanted to apply for his CRS10 that would have his Entire Service Record in it ,which you may like to see?? Cost though LOL
But of course it may just well be a cost that is not necessary now!
Cheers

Re: My Dad
Hello Doc Vernon. Thank you ever so much for the information about CRS10 - I didn't know that service records could be accessed this way. I'll certainly follow this up! Kind regards, Janet.
