His Name

Married
Wife's name
Any other information no matter how seemingly trivial

Re: hi im new here
As Ivan has said for us, we obviously need to know virtually all that you know to give us
the best chance of assisting. From your post much may be limited hence I would suggest
the LDS FamilySearch first, it is free and just requires your name and e.mail address.
His full name is enough to get started there and you can then narrow down much from the
results, by adding further info.
It would be worth trying and let us know how you get on.
You can just give all your known info here and we will do our best.
My first checks are with LDS FamilySearch: https://www.familysearch.org/search/
And: FreeBMD: https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl
We will be pleased to both work with you and assist.
Touch wood you may find more info that is needed from the above free sites that could then help us to assist you more.
Regards,
Keith.

Re: hi im new here
If the vessel was HMS imperial there is a whole history of her here with an account of being mined.

Busier day today than expected, hope to

Doc may find more.

Re: hi im new here
Hello Pauline
Welcome and thanks for the post.
I have one of that name but Born 21st Dec 1920 Leith , i think it would be your man, as there were many errors made in the Records. (Human Errors) As you will see as well on his Medal Listing they have yet another Month of Birth.

If this is him, then his Pouch is at the following Link at the National Archives, which will hold basic info , you will need his CRS10 for his full Service Record. I will look this up later and post .
