Hello from a new member
Hi I'm Pete and my discharge number is R746364
Went to the Vindicatrix in sharpness in 61
Ships I was a deckhand on where
Rossetti x 3
Rockville x 2
Tuscany
Thistleroy
Baron Ogilvy
Kypros
Velarde x 4
Salamanca
Ronsard
Nova Scotia x 2
Newfoundland
Empress of England
I was asked by my grandchildren about my seagoing days and what did the ships look like<, I have them all apart from the two Furness Withy ones, The Nova Scotia and the Newfoundland and the Empress,
Anyone able to help with pictures of the three ships or pont me in the right direction.

Re: Hello from a new member
Not of the two Furness boats that had the maiden voyages in 64. Agree there are plenty of the previous named ships but not of the these two,

Re: Hello from a new member
That's great thanks,
The Newfoundland was from her leaving Burntisland Ship yards called the Newfoundland and the pair here sister ships built for Furbess Withy for the North Atlantic route, but the Nova Scotia had a few name changes in her life 1973 "Tropic"; 1974 "Nova Scotia"; 1976 "Tropic"; 1978 Booker Valiant"; 1980 "Arab Dabbor"; 1986 "Arab Hind"
No Idea what the life of the Newfoundland was though.
