New member, Eddie Perkins
Greetings. After training at Gravesend 1 spent 15 years deep sea - 1970 to 1978 with BP tanker and then Buries Markes to 1985 I went offshore until 2002 when I joined Boston Putford Offshore Safety as Area Safety Manager, ending up as Group QHSE Manager for the Offshore division of the parent company Seacor Marine. Then some time in a similar role with Tidewater responsible for Europe, Middle East and Africa then North Star Shipping in Aberdeen. I took early retirement in 2015 and moved back to Norfolk to start a Consultancy.

Welcome aboard Eddie.
We have three things in common, Gravesend and B. and M., your male I assume, plus I'm just a few years ahead of you in all departments.
Cheers, Rodney

Re: New member, Eddie Perkins
Hi Roger,
Indeed I did. I moved to Norfolk from Pin Mill in 2002 when I started with BPOS based in Lowestoft. I moved up to Aberdeen in January 2009 when I started with Tidewater and came back to Norfolk in 2015. Now carrying out CMID Marine assurance inspections on the BPOS boats amongst other things.

Thanks Ron

And my Brother lives in the USA - Florida. Bit of a bind when doing family visits ;-).

Thanks for the response Eddie, the last two years of my sea adventure finished in 69 in GY with offshore marine and wimbrown, my sea experience came in handy later when delivering beer at the Pin Mill sailing club with an invoice and tide table for the springs HA! HA! Ships that pass in the night I guess. Enjoy the site Eddie. Regards Roger.
