    Default Hello!

I joined the Sugar Refiner as 2nd R/O in March 1973. My Chief was Bert Milliken, the ship was only 2 years old, so had the latest Marconi station. Next was the Shell tanker Horomya, on that for 8 months. Then the Gowanbank, Hollybank, Africa Palm, Custodian, Manchester Concorde, Manchester Courage, Manchester Concept and finally the Ibn Khallikan. Came ashore at Avonmouth Marconi Office
    April 1978.

Good afternoon, John. I came ashore from Brocklebanks in 1961. I see you were with Manchester Liners - so was my wife's dad, pre-war, in the engine room.
