    Default Help

    Hi all
I have just found this site, was at sea from 64 to 87, started in small 300ton coasters also Trinity House, dredgers, survey boats and rig supply boats.
What I need some help with is, my late uncle was in the MN before and during WW11.
His grand daughter is trying to find out where and what ships he was in and asked me to help, the problem is they do not have his discharge book number or any other paperwork.
As I said this makes it very hard to track any thing down.
He never said much to my cousin about it either, and the one thing I recall is my father telling me once that my uncle worked on salvage of the German fleet at Scappa flow
as was I given a brass sign he was suppose to have got from one of the ships.
So if any one can help steer me in the right direction i would be a great help.

    Many thanks
    JB
