Hello to all.
I haven't been on here for a few years..! Last time I was searching for information on a man called Chris/Christopher Walker from Harrogate Yorkshire. He had a sister Julie and a niece Sarah also in Harrogate. He sailed on a few Holder Bros ships and recovery tugs in the 1970's but last was heard of him, he disappeared in 1972-73 and moved to Porto Brazil. I was told by someone on here that Chris Walker applied for a job there, not sure as what.
It is so important to me that I find him ASAP as we're all getting older..!! If you know ANY info on him good or bad please contact me and it will be most appreciated.
Thank you so so much in advance.

In addition if he was Serving at Sea after 1972 there will be no records of such as they stopped keeping Records after that
Do you know his DOB Year will help also where he was Born
Cheers

Re: Rachel.G
Doc Vernon, Thank you for messaging me.
Christopher Walker was originally from Harrogate Yorkshire, Father's name Harry. Not sure of DOB late 1930's-1940's.
Apparently he was on the Royston Grange before the disaster of course but was on plenty of different ships like the Hardwick Grange and then disappeared around 1972-73. Last I heard he was in Porto Brazil but that he'd applied for a job as a wireless radio operator, we have no other way of finding him if he's still alive so anything anyone can come up with would be a bonus.
I've not seen him in 46 years, I'm 46 so make of the story what you will...!
I have felt most of my teenage and adult life that a part of me is missing and this is why I need to piece all the bits together and maybe get some sort of resolution as I have always felt it was my fault he felt the need to leave.
Thanks again for helping anyway you can.

Re: Rachel.G
Thank you so so much for all this information, it made me feel weird inside but happy to know he actually existed.
I just pray that he is still alive and maybe try and let him see his daughter of 46 years, although I'm guessing he won't want to or he would have come back years ago to contact me..!!
I wouldn't know where or how to start finding him in Sao Paolo Brazil..it's a big place.
Keep in touch if you find anything else out...good or bad please.
Huge Thank You again.
P.S Look forward hearing from you.

Re: Rachel.G
Sadly, I cannot guarantee that it is him,
I will look further, can you confirm that
his fathers name could be Henry rather
than Harry ?
Would you know his mothers name ? Lilly ?
Fingers crossed more will be found and
cross referenced etc.
Any help from yourself is appreciated.
It would be great for you if all can be proved.
Regards,
Keith.

Re: Rachel.G
Yes Keith, His father was Henry but we called him Harry (like Prince Harry is Henry). Harrogate was his birthplace and he had a sister called Julie who had a daughter sarah I think if I remember correctly. He also had a brother not sure of a name. He left us in 1974 I'm guessing as I only know what my mum and brother have told me.
