Hi all , just joined so please bear with me while I find my way around.
First shipped out in 1969 as Junior Engineer and made it to the dizzy heights of 3rd Eng ,did a spell with Ocean fleets & Kuwait shipping co.
A spell on tankers with Vela Shipping & BP
Some of my ships
Bhamo, Patani, Kaduna, and coasted a couple of Blue funnel ships Maron & Diomed
Kuwait shipping Ibn Alatheer , Ibn Rushd, Ibn Al-Haitham
Vela ,Columba Star, Phoenix Star, Aries Star
BP British Skill, British Adventure, British Admiral.
Came ashore in 1988 and started driving taxis for a living until I started my own business overhauling engines from Reefer boxes etc!
Been retired now about 6 years.
I was born in a wee village not to far from Kilmarnock but recently moved down to North Wales.
