Well I'm still on the high seas without a chart and no port in sight as yet. That's how I feel a little lost!
With the help of Jimmy we did find a cemetery with some family but not Uncle Arthur grave. The cemetery
is in Glasgow area in Scotland.

One step closer! It's not easy to find a grave site.

I would like to add another avenue to this research.

At the time of his death had he actually been serving on board a ship and was taken to hospital from this vessel. Reason I ask his death maybe recorded in the Deaths at Sea Register for 1953. What we would need to do would be to find a copy of his full service record held in the Fifth Register at Kew which would of recorded this ships name. Once you have that it would be possible to check the 1953 Deaths at Sea Register. There is a slight possibility and I say slight, but on a very few occasions on these documents it was actually recorded where the individual was buried. I don't want to build your hopes up to much as I have browsed hundreds if not thousands of these files and maybe a couple of dozen have detailed place of burial.

I have not forgotten all my wonderful friends here.
I hope you are all well and enjoying life.
Thank you again to you all who helped and contributed advise in our quest!
Ever since I started my search for my Uncle's resting place I have found friends. Plus it inspired me to go on and due a genealogy search that has proved to be fascinating. My family tree has splendid roots and is thriving with many branches, shiny leaves and beautiful flowers.

We are still in search of my Uncle Arthur John Robin's grave site. We thought he maybe be in Scotland his birth place. But new events have brought our search back to England where he died at the Seaman's Hospital, Kent, England.

My cousin my Uncle's son words to me in one e-mail:
When I look at the Robin Family it is so hard for me to put everybody in place. They just seem to be everywhere, and I only have names. Even those who should be close seem so remote. But I was so young when Dad went and when my Mum followed him I was still so much of a child. My going to sea didn't help either as I grew up in another world, so to speak!

I understand his need to find his father's grave. His father died in 1953 and his mother in 1960.

Well out of the clear blue sea came an e-mail to me from a long lost and unknown relative! On a whim after talking to her granda she Googled the name ROBIN and clicked on one of my posts right off the bat and was amazed at what she found. She knew by reading that we were the same wee Robins. She said that her granda did not ever talk about his family.

The grand daughter of my Uncle's youngest brother found one of my old posts! I thought he was dead and I could not find any family in England or Scotland. Well he is 92 years young! A little forgetful but has given us some clues to where his brother may have been buried. He said that he was buried in Tottenham, England and that he had some photos of the grave. Whether he does or not is another matter. We will have to wait and take it slow and see. Tottenham is near where he lived in Islington. So the search is on. His grand daughter said she is now on a mission to find the photos and the cemetery if she can. Hopefully in a few weeks we may have some answers. Fingers crossed! I certainly will let you all know either way. So full steam ahead!
