    Default Hello

    Ladies & Gentlemen

Hello to you all...Looking for any information, records, pictures etc;etc; for my my father William Cullen b 29th Dec 1932, who attended the National Sea Training School in Gravesend from 22nd August 1949 to 14th October 1949. He went on to a 25 year service in the Merchant Navy and served on ships such as the "Cameronia (144242)", "Empire Clyde (144242)", "Lismoria (180910)" and "Northern Star (304176)" amongst others. Any info would help with this stretch of our family history.

    Hi Doc.

I have just finished posting all the info I have in the crew list section on the forum. His discharge book number is...R515402. The book shows he entered the school on 22nd august 1949 and discharged on 14th October 1949. he was awarded his "bell boy" proficieny badge at the end of the course!

Oh! I see you have added to the DETAILS in the Crew List, and now I know why I cannot find him.
As he was still serving with the M Navy after 1972 (just) there will be no records kept as they stopped in 72!
    That clears that up
    Cheers
