3.10.1857: Launched by Barclay Curle & Co., Glasgow, (yard No.56) for William Kidston & Sons, Glasgoow. 1870: W& R Kidston. 1880: Charles Kidston.
2.2.1889: Whilst under the tow of the Greenock tug SS Defiance from Dublin to Glasgow, tow separated in a storm near Portpatrick, ROSENEATH sank.
