Mike, 1 year,1 Ship, I know was regular in some companies in those times.(MANZ-Run & Tankers) A bit of a shock for a first tripper aged 16yrs.
I joined the TYRONE in Ellesmere Port.16.2.61. AB on H.T.articles payed off,Newport. I dont think I would have liked to have done a long one on Her.
