William Garland - Update

Hi

Some months ago you very kind gentlemen helped with my research for my Grandfather William Garland's merchant navy service record and I thought you would like to know that I have now received his medals for his service in WW2. The medals were never claimed as William died on his last voyage to Australia in1947. What a proud moment it was when the envelope landed on my door mat and the reaction from my daughters and grandchildren was fantastic. It actually brought William to life for them and now I know that he and all the brave men like him will not be forgotten.
