    the island breeze x transvaal castle - later - sa vaal - festivale - island breeze and as the last big red boat 111 - a unusual image of her in all white livery

    I agree Vic. All White looks best on fine-lined Reefer 'Fruit Boats' like Salen or Elders and Fyffes etc.

    Indded so, she does not look like the old Transvaal like that, more reminding one of a Hospital Ship without the Hospital Logos!

    #3 I also worked for Whitco Marine a subsidiary of Salens who supplied all uniforms in GREY , would have looked very dour to any Rainbow Warrior excluding the ship of that name of course. JS

    Watched as she berthed in Cape Town on her maiden voyage.
    Think that was a few years ago.

    Ist all white vessel i saw was the name of windward isles i saw her in oz i think but it may have been elswhere as 65 years ago .....i recall thinking she was one smart looker cappy R683532

    Yes,undoubtedly,Bryan-lovely profile,but she certainly doesn't suit all-white!

    The empress ships of Canadian Pacific were all white and looked very smart, the small Beaver boats were also all white and smart looking.
