Hi Vernon Can't say I ever saw the picture you have submitted as a badge but I feel sure it was used in UCL advertising. However I will stand corrected but the picture do's ring bells in the old brain box Regards George

KISS.keep it simple stupid
Thats the UCL one , we were employed by B&C and that badge looked like a pregnant prawn in the leaves
Hi Vernon. When I saw that advertised on E-Bay,I feel sure that it was advertised as a UCL Stewards Cap Badge. Did the Deck Stewards wear caps?.I can imagine them wearing caps with that type of badge. i.e. minus the gold wreath which of course the company's Officers would have worn. or:- Maybe it is also the badge that catering staff/stewards would wear on their white jackets or shirts? Hi Rob . you mean the Clan line badge ,looks like a prawn salad

Hi Geoff Yes the Pic you put first is the one i too remember, dont know about the second one (the prawn haha) Cant remember if there was any Caps worn(by catering) in the earlier days, but very much doubt it! Anyway will keep on searching, and hope you Lads will possibly come up with some answer,as this is just not on haha! Thanks for all replies thus far! Cheers
No Vernon do not ever recall any catering staff wearing any form of badge, apart from a hangover that is. Do not recall anything like the one you have put up. Could it be something to do with Safmarine by any chance?
