Default Captain P. St. Q Beadon

Yesterday I attended the funeral of Captain Patrick St. Quentin Beadon. Words used were - respected, handsome, intelligent, good teacher, good role model for the younger officers, great passenger Captain, Godlike!.
I saw him at the Union-Castle reunion last September and he looked frail then. My best wishes and thoughts go to his son Jonathan and his wife Tracey.
He was the Captain on board the Pendennis Castle when I joined at the tender age of 21. He was an amazing figurehead. He then went to the Windsor and would have become Commodore if the ships had remained in service.
    The funeral was well attended.

He was captain on a couple of voyages during 1972 when I was on board as a bell boy, although my memory of him isn't too good I am afraid
