S Sounds a bit like the situation we have here in the u.k. we have a government minister who is hell bent on net zero, wanting to build wind farms and solar cells farms over huge areas of much needed farm land. All of these need huge battery storage bank's for when doesn't blow or the sun don't shine, conditions that appear to happen on a regular basis here.
In addition our government are hell bent on A.I, now I have no idea about how this A.I thingy works or even what it actually does but I understand it requires huge data centers that consume vast amounts of electricity along with cooling water. So where is all that electricity coming from given that the net zero mandate means that oil and gas use for electricity generation is being phased out.?

Net Zero by this crowd is only a follow on from the last mob. That's Lobbyists pushing that agenda.
Re: Climate rears up again
Following the holy grail of net zero is an expensive folly.
The net zero zealots, don't realise how things work, or ignore the science that proves they are wrong.
Co2 in the atmosphere is approximately 420ppm, of that the earths natural environment produces approximately 250ppm.
As can seen from the above no matter what we do, the planet we live on produces more Co2 than humans do.

Re: Climate rears up again
In reality Net Zero is just a pipe dream.
As long as there is production, and that will always be, there will be emissions if some sort.
Then the problem that all living creatures produce Co2 and Methane, as does any item that decomposes.
But the problem could be solved with decomposing MP's.
Re: Climate rears up again
There is more danger from people experimenting with things like Covid or bird flue and stuffing corks up cows Ar$%#s to stop the dropping methane than common sense'
