UK isms
Here in Oz we get at times news from Uk, via the Net, radio TV or a local correspondent.
Today two stories came to light.
One was about the obesity level amongst young children. In an effort to reduce this the gov has put out a suggested menu.
Porridge and Crumpets are now off the menu, while Sausage Rolls and meat pies along with other similar items are on.
Odd, as Oats in Porridge can reduce the risk of Cholesterol, so maybe instead of Obesity they now chose Heart attacks.
I recall many years ago we were told that getting your Oats or some Crumpets was good for you, how times have changed.
The second was regarding EV.
The gov want 20% of all new vehicles in 2025 to be EV.
Great, the only people who want such are those who like them and can afford them.
Many say you cannot tow with them, braking system is very different.
How to tow a caravan with one??
Then of course the charging aspect1.
In may cities there are large tower block with now where to park, no charging stations either.
In North London I have only seen one such station about 2.5 KLm from Marble Arch.
Then the houses in many parts are terraced with cars parked on the kerbside, in parts of North London they also allow parking down the road center!!
Just be very careful how you run the cable across the side walk.
Happy daze John in Oz.

Hi John G
If we have Quaker Oats for breakfast my wife always soaks the oats overnight.
I thought all the kids ate those made up stuff for breakfast these days , most taste like cardboard.

Would you believe that crumpet or oats and cherries make a good dietary meal ? JS

Re: UK isms
Getting your daily oats is good, just look at the race horses!!
Hot bit of crumpet is always welcome, but my breakfast is a bit odd one may say.
Piece of fruit in the bowl, four spoons of very plain rolled oats, no flavor, spoon of Olive oil, four spoons of oat bran and 100 ml of Cranbury juice.
I do not ingest any form of milk, yoghurt, tea or mashed spuds unless on cottage pie.
Happy daze John in Oz.
