    Default Artificial intelligence

We are told that artificial intelligence or AI as they prefer to call it will enhance all our lives.
Daily chores will be taken care of by this entity, so many boring tasks will no longer bother us.

But I have been taking note of late and have come to the conclusion that Artificial Intelligence has been with us for generations.
One only has to look at the parliament, federal, state and even the UK one.
They are full of it, how else could they make such stupid mistakes, actions and comments as they do.

Look back at 194, only those who considered them selves to be intelligent would have created the state of Israel surrounded by Arabn states.
An example of AI at work then.

Sop next time an election come sup think long and hard, which side of AI do you think will do the least damage.

AI is changing the way we live, and while some aspects can feel impersonal or frustrating, there are real benefits when used correctly. I’ve seen businesses, especially in service industries like hotels and salons, save a ton of time by automating repetitive tasks. Things like booking appointments, answering common customer inquiries, and even managing leads become effortless with AI handling them.

The thing about AI, is that it takes away the ability to communicate. This is great for the fatcats, because AI can deal with complaints like no real humans can.
"I'm calling to tell you of a fault" = Please state the fault.
"I've tried to pay my bill, but your answer machine can't understand me" = I'm sorry, but I don't understand your question.
"Your bloody machine won't effin work" = I'm sorry I don't understand your question.
    On and on ad infinitum.

I complained to my bank on Friday, trying to open account for my grandson, system kept sending me round in circles so I tried asking for assistance using their chatbox which was a waste of time; the last question it asked me was "have I helped with your question", I replied "no" it then said please wait and a human colleague will take your query. I waited 25 mins without any contact, so I wrote a message detailing why I was p-ssed off waiting for so long etc etc, then left the site.
On Monday I got a message apologising for the delay and offering £40 to drop the complaint, so I am now £40 better off and will pick him up from school tomorrow and take him personally.

If used correctly AI could be of assistance to many.
But the problem is that there are times when you will never know if it is true or a scam, it will happen.

Saw an article on TV last night, there are robots so real in appearance and with the ability to speak that you could in some circumstances say they were huiman.
This is where the problem will occur, will you trust them.

'Sorry i do not understand that question"

    Hi John
This could go Ape sh$t, just think getting one of those AI dolls on board a ship especially a female, could cause irruptions as to who gets the use of, would need the AI to sort it out.
Just occurred to me, that may be the reason for that collision.

I’ve noticed that AI-driven automation can make operations much smoother and cut costs significantly. Businesses looking to streamline their workflow often turn to solutions like https://logitize.ai/, which help integrate AI tools for better efficiency.

I think AI tools are just that, tools, made by man. Like most things today, all these machines doing the work that humans did years ago, are set up to do specific tasks. I don't believe any machine could make it's own decisions, other than what it's been programmed to do.
If it did something other than what it's supposed to do, that would be called "breaking down".
It's like these fancy cars that drive themselves, they don't really, they just follow pre-installed instructions. When they go wrong, it can be disastrous. Just imagine all cars on the road being smart cars, how boring would it be just sitting there, hoping it doesn't go wrong.

Johhny think of the positive side with fully AI cars. Does this not mean that it can take me to the pub and I get legless and it drives me home without any fear of being booked for DUI. Also think of the amount of revenue that they forgo because the AI car will stay within the rules. My response is that it is all BS. Similar when going up north to pick up the grandkids for holidays. I will be able to send the car up there without me in it and pick them up and bring them back. How many of them will be on the road without anyone in them. Who is going to be responsible if there is a misshap.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.
