Sorry John it is not any of the photographs of former PM's. It is an actual portrait of her that hung in what was her study.
It has been moved to another place in the building.

Ironically it was commissioned in 2007 by former Labour Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who faced some criticism at the time from left-wing MPs for commemorating his Tory predecessor.

Odd though it was a Labour PM who put it up, you have to wonder why one of her own did not have it put up?

The £100,000 cost was covered by an anonymous donor.

I have a letter from her via her private secretary dated 16 November 1990 , which was IN CONFIDENCE which I didn’t receive until the middle of December , requesting a reply by return of post.
